With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Debbie Sassen specializes in investment and financial planning for multi-national citizens living in Israel. She helps her clients build wealth, organize their financial chaos, and achieve financial freedom.
Debbie’s experience in international finance, capital markets and central banking enables her to understand the broader picture – an asset she uses to advise her clients. Mrs. Sassen began her career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs, working in liability management for multi-national corporations and central banks. After moving to Israel in 1988, Debbie worked for 18 years as an economist and portfolio manager for the Bank of Israel. Mrs. Sassen has spent the last 3 years working with individuals and high net worth clients to manage their banking, investment and retirement planning needs.
Debbie provides specialty investment management services for dual US/Israeli citizens through her associate Lawrence Weinman. They use their combined expertise to help their clients maximize after-tax investment returns in light of currency fluctuations, and differing US and Israeli tax regimes.
Debbie has developed a unique capability and affinity for working with women going through major life/wealth transitions such as inheritance, divorce or death of a spouse. She works to inspire and educate women to take charge of their financial lives through active training and support.
Debbie lectures and writes about personal finance, investments and retirement planning in the greater Jerusalem and Tel Aviv areas.
Debbie Sassen is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative with the Investment Advisor Alliance in New Jersey and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Smith College.
